64 Lincoln Continental Project
Here at PSI, personal projects take a backseat to clients’ projects. Over the past year, Erick Sackhoff’s 1964 Lincoln Continental has been slowly taking shape. While progress has been made, the project is far from over. Sackhoff and Alex Laventure are often taken off this project. Any free time available is used to work on this project.

Sackhoff’s 64 Continental will be powered by a 5.4L Ford V8 with a Kenne Bell Supercharger.
This Ford V8 is out of a 2003 Ford Mustang Cobra. The V8 is wider than the previous engine and therefore the front cross member had to be modified to accomodate it. The front cross member is a custom one fabricated in house. The frame rails were widened by 3 1/2 inches on each side. Art Morrison tubular arms were also used.
To achieve the ride height Sackhoff desired, an air suspension was used. The channelling was required to let the car sit low without scraping the exhaust or driveline. The car will be able to sit on its frame.
The Continental will also be sitting on 22″ 100-spoke Dayton’s. The inner fender wells were extensively modified to allow clearance for the Dayton’s while the car sits low.
The Continental project has come along way but still requires a lot of work. When Sackhoff and Laventure have some free time between client’s projects, they will be working hard to get this 64 Continental done.
