A pair of AMC AMX’s at PSI
Two clients brought down their 1970 AMC AMX’s. Upon first glance, these two cars look almost identical. They are both a deep green color with 390 cid V8′s.
It is rare to see an AMC AMX and even rarer to see two of them. These two fine examples are owned by two brothers who share a passion for cars. Although the outward appearance of the two cars are similar, each one has small touches that set them apart.
We had both of these AMX’s on the dyno. This first one has a stock head and moderate cam. Power is put to the ground through an automatic.

The second AMX had some head work and an aggressive cam. The 390 is mated to a manual transmission.
