During the week, we spent some time getting our karts ready for a weekend of racing. However, we learned late on Friday afternoon that Pat’s Acres Racing Complex would be closed. This has been the track of choice for us because of its close proximity. Rather than cancel karting for the weekend, we decided to just go to the shop.

Even if PARC was closed, we made our own around the shop. We all had a lot of fun and got to enjoy the sunny winter weather. Check back soon for the video for LorenInHD and to see what other fun we have.

Kyle Pollard, a Formula Drift licensed driver, does not sit around during the off-season but continues to drive as often as he can.  Pollard goes to open drift or local events to get in as much drifting as possible.  Being a responsible driver, he keeps his drifting on tracks or events and off public roads.

Open drift events are only held certain times of the year.  Pollard participates in other forms of motorsports.

Living in Oregon, indoor go kart racing is a great option, whether it is raining or dry outside.  Pollard races at Sykart in Tigard.  He is consistantly one of the faster drivers there.

On days that Oregon has nice weather, which happens randomly throughout the year, like this weekend, Pollard often goes back to PARC but this time with a shifter kart.

Racing is often more fun with friends and the a few members of the PSI team will be joining him at PARC.

After a long week of working on cars, a sunny day at the track is what everyone needs.

Racing a shifter kart will help Pollard keep his skills sharp and ready for the next Formula Drift season.  Hope everyone enjoys the sunny weekend.

We were well represented at PARC with the appearance by Kyle Pollard in his PSI livery Tomei 2.2L SR powered S13.

During the past few days, we have been busy getting Kyle’s car and our other sponsored Formula D driver’s car. That other driver is Andrew Coomes, who recently got his Formula D license from last years Evergreen ProAm series.

Andrew will be bringing down his LS2 powered Rocket Bunny S13 to take on PARC. This will be his first time drifting the track.

With the Formula Drift season ending a couple months ago and local drifting events ending soon, Pollard’s S13 will be put in storage for the winter. Be sure to join us next season and support Kyle Pollard at the Formula Drift events.

Fred brought down “The Prototype” to the shop over two years ago. He wanted to show everyone at the shop his new creation.

After a brief demonstration, Fred let the us give it a try. Jason Oefelein and Erick Sackhoff took the 40mph scooter for a spin behind the shop.

The second generation of the scooter is known as “The Crippler” and can reach a max speed of 60mph. This version is the one that is available for purchase through Lux Performance. Check out their website, Lux Performance for more information.

We sure had a blast and so will you.

But this year we wanted to do something different. Instead of passing out candy to kids who came by, since hardly anyone stops by the shop on Halloween night, we decided to bring the candy to them.

When delivering candy on Halloween, a proper vehicle is needed. It just so happens that Erick recently picked up a Chevy Stepvan.

One of the 15″ Dayton’s had a bad valve stem so Erick replaced the 15′s with a set of 22″ Dayton’s. With a new set of wheels, it was time to decorate the rest of the van for Halloween duty. A power inverter was installed to power a fog machine, red lights, and a iHome for the scary music. A large spider and hanging head finish up the interior.

You can’t pass out candy in the Stepvan without costumes. The guys dressed up as evil clowns and monsters.

It was a lot of fun handing out candy from the Stepvan. This might become another Halloween tradition for PSI.

One of the attendees brought down his Ariel Atom.

Two bagged Lincoln Continentals and a Supercharged Shelby GT500.

Radium Engineering was out showing off their turbocharged Lotus Elise and some of their universal products.

They also brought down a Lotus Evora, which is the new platform they are developing components for.  Check back here or at http://radiumauto.com for more details.

Inside the shop, PSI was showcasing some of the projects that they are working on.

Sitting in the lobby is a 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle powered by a LS1. This was a frame off restoration and modification preformed at PSI.

We had Brad pinstripe our new PSI van, a Chevy Stepvan. He will be continuing this project with a few PSI logos.
