This past weekend there were two drift events, one a professional Forumla D event and another a ProAm event. We were fortunate to be represented by two great drivers at both events.
At the professional level, Kyle Pollard qualified 21st in his Tomei SR powered S13 but was knocked out by Darren McNamara, who went on to finish second, at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This was a good showing for Kyle in his new livery with a PSI theme. Kyle recently got the car finished for the Seattle Formula D event but was sidelined with driveline issues. Before the Vegas event, Jason Oefelein retuned the SR after a few upgrades and it made 542whp.

After the long drive back from Las Vegas, NV, Kyle dropped his car off here. Here are a few better shots of the new livery. We first saw the new livery as Kyle was headed to Las Vegas. Ryan Davis, of Year Productions designed the livery and Fred Roman installed it.

On a local level, a Formula D ProAm event was being held at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, WA that same weekend. At this event, Andrew Coomes was representing PSI with his LS2 powered Rocket Bunny S13.

Here is an old shot of his car when it was first built by PSI.
The car above was wrecked at the previous ProAm event and needed to be rebuilt. A new chassis was sourced and the work was begun. We worked many long nights to get the new car ready for this past weekends event. We managed to get the car up and running by 3am on Sunday morning. Andrew and his crew made the long journey up and Jason Oefelein and Zach would be following later that morning to support Andrew in the pits.
After a few shakedown passes, the car and Andrew were ready for competition.

Andrew qualified first with his eyes set on a podium finish. A podium finish was sidelined due to transmission failure during the opening ceremony.

We want to congratulate both Kyle Pollard and Andrew Coomes for their hard work this weekend and want to thank them for representing PSI. We look forward to continuing our support throughout the end of the season and beyond. Good luck Kyle Pollard in Irwindale at Formula D Round 7 and Andrew Coomes at Evergreen Drift Round 5.
